I have a central cooling appliance in our house, however I try not to use the cooling system too much… When I set the temperature control for our cooling system, I appreciate setting the temperature for 78 degrees in our dwelling… I know that most of the people that come to our dwelling grumble about the temperature.
When I tell them that I intentionally set the temperature control for the cooling appliance at this temperature, it easily confuses them.
They regularly ask me why I don’t appreciate the cooling appliance running absolutely often, however I can’t ever provide them one short answer for how I use the cooling appliance. I assume that there are many reasons why I use the cooling appliance in this fashion! Firstly, it is far cheaper to use your cooling system in moderation. By setting the temperature control to 78 degrees, you can save hundreds of dollars on your energy bill. Since I don’t appreciate the cooling appliance much anyways, I don’t see why I would want to spend a ton of money on the cooling system… Also, I don’t appreciate genuinely frosty temperatures. I use the cooling appliance to make sure that the temperatures are not extreme, however I don’t use it to keep our dwelling frosty. Also, I don’t appreciate the cooling appliance very much at all. It makes going outside seem completely uncomfortable. However, if I only use our cooling appliance lightly, then the transition between inside and outside isn’t so terrible. Finally, I don’t use the cooling appliance because I assume that it makes me much weaker. I would rather be able to survive in any conditions. I don’t want to only be able to survive in the ideal weather conditions.
