I have been staying home a lot due to the current pandemic that the world is facing.
I haven’t felt comfortable leaving my house in months and many of my friends feel the same way.
However, I am really ready to get back to my normal life and I miss seeing people everyday. So I decided that I was going to have a small get together at the house. I had to run my idea by my husband because I didn’t want him to be uncomfortable with people in the house, but he was really excited to see people! I told about ten people that we wanted to have them over for dinner and everyone we invited said they could come. I think people are just as ready as we are to get back to normal life. However, there was one thing I didn’t think of when it came to having people over at the house and that was the HVAC system. I haven’t really turned on the HVAC system much because the weather outside has been beautiful and we didn’t need any air conditioner to keep cool. However, with all these people in the house it started to become warm very quickly. I didn’t want our guests to sweat so I went over to the thermostat and started to blast the air conditioning. Thankfully, no one said anything but I do feel like I am going to see a little spike in our electric bill next time.
