My in-laws have window air conditioners in their house, but they never turn on the window air conditioners.
In fact, one of the reasons that I do not like staying with my in-laws is because they do not like to use their window air conditioner.
What is the point of having five window air conditioners in your house if you are not going to use them? Now, I understand that they do not always need to keep their window air conditioners on. My in-laws live in the North, and the temperatures drop like crazy at night. The house gets much colder without a window air conditioner just because of the natural temperature. However, the temperatures here warm up during the day. Usually, they are supposed to leave the doors open until the temperatures heat up, and then, they turn on the window air conditioners. At least, they think that they turn on the air conditioners. The truth is that they talk about turning on the air conditioners, but they never do. As the temperatures increase, they get used to the heat, and they become too lazy or too cheap to turn the window air conditioners on. Most of the time, I am sweating without the air conditioners, and they refuse to turn the air conditioners on because they are afraid that they will be cold. They shouldn’t even have air conditioners if they are never going to actually use them. At least there is an air conditioner in the room that I am staying in so that I do not have to be completely miserable all of the time.
