Working out every morning

I make an hour workout part of my routine six mornings per week.

I usually start the workout shortly after I wake up in the morning.

I find it best to complete my fitness goals as soon as possible. Because of it, I have more energy and feel good about myself for the rest of the day. The longer I let myself procrastinate in the morning, the more difficult it is to get started. Some mornings are more challenging than others. When my alarm goes, I am not always ready to jump straight into the workout. There are those days when I’m tired, stiff and a little sore. My ankle joints and feet often bother me. There are busy mornings when it’s hard to find the time for an hour to a workout. I only allow myself a single day off from working out per week. Putting off the workout is just delaying the inevitable. Once I get going, I most often become motivated. I workout to very upbeat songs that I can sing along with, and I make sure to take the time to first stretch. I circle my feet and hands, tilt my neck side to side and roll my shoulders. I touch my hands to the floor toes and perform deep squats and lunges to get our muscles warmed up. I switch up the target muscles of the workout day by day. When I have lots of energy, I focus a lot more time on a high intensity aerobic workout. I might spend the whole hour jumping rope or going for a run. On those days when I am a bit lethargic or sore, I usually spend more time on weight lifting and abdominal crunches. If I get my heart pumping and work up a decent sweat, I’m satisfied with my efforts.
