As morestimate as it seems, I have been thinking about plans for the family condo when mother passes away.
It’s an older house, but Dad took wonderful care of it.
And now that he’s gone, every one of us help mother with it. The two of us visit her every 2 weeks or so in addition to spend a whole Thursday checking her gutters, working in the yard, in addition to increasing her Heating and Air Conditioning filter, things care about that. The Heating and Air Conditioning system will be a single of the first things that gets replaced. Mother has central heat in addition to air conditioner, but her system is particularly old. The air ducts entirely need to be sealed in addition to cleaned, or at the genuinely least, checked. The two of us will also need to upgrade the heating system to a more energy efficient a single! But, now I am hearing about radiant radiant heated floors in addition to heated baseboards in addition to heat pumps in addition to so many other ways to heat in addition to cool a home, that I will need to do some extreme research before I make any final Heating and Air Conditioning decisions. The house has a fireplace. I have memories about that fireplace, wonderful in addition to bad; Every year every one of us would open Christmas presents before a fire in the fireplace; One year, I threw raw snacks in the fireplace when a huge fire was going. Boy, our parents were mad! They told me that it was disrespectful to the fire in addition to every one of us have to show respect to fire, even if it is in a fireplace. I look forward to moving back into our childhood home, but I hope Mom hangs around for a while. Maybe I can put her in a nursing home.
