I lost my job last week, I was absolutely working for the same Heating plus Air Conditioning company for several years.
I expected to work for the owner of the Heating and Air Conditioning company until I was old with grey hair.
I actually did not expect to figure out that the guy was selling the company to move to another country. I did not guess I would find out through the grapevine either, but that’s how poor news travels in this town, and my 15 year old sibling was pregnant for all of several hours before everyone in town knew she was expecting. I shouldn’t have been shocked to find out about the Heating plus Air Conditioning corporation, despite the fact that I was totally shocked. I was at the grocery store shopping for some pantry essentials like tofu, milk, butter, plus eggs. I was browsing some fresh fruit when our friend Sara came over to supply myself and others a hug. I had not seen Sara in at least 3 weeks so I was glad to see our friend, and the first thing she said was that she was sorry to hear about our job. I was confused by her different statement, so I asked for further detail. That’s when I found out that I was losing my job. Sara had informed me that she was absolutely working at the bank on Monday when the boss came in to empty his company account. Sara thought it was strange, so she asked the guy if he was leaving town, and he told her that he was moving to a different country plus getting out of the country. The guy gave no other explanation. My friend assumed that I already knew about the company closing, but that’s how I found out that I lost our job.
