Nice and toasty

My wife and I have been camping for a few weeks, however both of us are slowly making our way across the country and both of us hope to hit the west coast sometime before January.

  • Both of us have had a lot of neat experiences so far like hiking the mountain trails and swimming in a boiling Spring.

Both of us also found fools gold in a river by our campsite. The adventure has had a few hiccups along the way. Both of us spent a very freezing afternoon in the mountains. Both of us did not have a heating system for the tent, so both of us had to bundle up in our sleeping bags and other things. The only time both of us got hot was when both of us went to take a shower. The lavatory and showers were practically brand new! Inside the lavatory, they had numerous mini-chop ductless heaters! One heating system was by the toilets and the other heating system was centrally located in the shower area. The furnaces were regularly going while in the day and the night, my wifey and I tried to wait until late at evening to take our shower, so both of us could be the only people in the lavatory… We’re still trying very hard to socially distance ourselves from others. Once inside the restroom, both of us turned up the temperature on the heating system and played some rock n roll on our phone. Those 30 fourths in the shower before bed became our ritual to get nice and toasty. Both of us left the lavatory ready for sleep, wearing our hot pajamas and sweatshirts. Those few freezing evenings reminded us that both of us need to stay further south as both of us make our way across the middle of the country.
