Local is always better

Raw vegetables are filled with vitamins and nutrients, we all know that.

Eating then straight from the garden is the best way to get their full effect.

They rapidly lose most of their nutritional value as they cook in a pot of warm water! Raw honey is apparently truly similar. Raw honey contains antioxidants, natural vitamins, and enzymes that are supposed to promote natural healing within our body. Raw honey contains many necessary properties that can help with bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. Raw honey even can help with digestive health concerns too. I started using raw local honey in my diet a couple of years ago when our flu symptoms were extremely bad. The holistic dentist that I see each year advocated using bee pollen and honey to help with flu symptoms. I thought the old dentist was crazy, but I was willing to try anything. I couldn’t breathe because the outdoor pollen count was extremely high. I went to a local beekeeper and I bought raw honey from him right from the hive. It even contained some of the honeycomb. The honey actually tasted great, and I was surprised by the way that it helped our flu symptoms clear up. I ate a teaspoon of raw honey in the morning and many teaspoons of extra raw honey at night in a cup of herbal tea. After five afternoons, our entire sinus cavity cleared up and I was breathing like it was a pollen-less winter. I have truthfully suffered from flu symptoms for 20 years and I have tried every category of flu symptom medication that’s available over the counter and prescribed by a practitioner. I have found more relief from raw honey than any 1 of those prescriptions.
