Toys will block the air conditioning vents

The kids had put their huge teddy bears in front of the air vents

My sibling flew in to surprise our teenagers and myself early last summer; She knew I was having a tough time after the separation from my husband and she wanted to be there for us… The last time that we were on the phone, she was away attending some supplier conference on the other side of the country, and I really missed her but didn’t want to appear too needy. I guess she heard the strain in my voice, though. So I was not surprised when she turned up at our door after her trip. Behind her were packages full of toys for the children. Zi asked her where all that was going to fit in the house as we embraced. The teenagers were so thrilled with their gifts, and they took the teddy bears to their respective rooms to play with them. Later on, we had dinner together and then we went to sleep because the people I was with and I had wonderful plans for the next afternoon. But then at around 3 am, our youngest child came into our room covered in sweat. That seemed weird to me, since our A/C system was running. As I helped him get cooled off, his older sibling came in covered in sweat too. I let them sleep in our bed then I made a mental note to check the air conditioning vent in their room in the afternoon. They slept peacefully since there was ample cool air blowing into our room through the air vents and we woke up late the next morning. We got busy preparing breakfast. Then our sibling and I went into the teenagers’ rooms to find out why they were so hot. It took some time for us to realize what they had done. The kids had put their huge teddy bears in front of the air vents. This was blocking the cool air from blowing into the room, causing all of the trouble.
