My husband Vincent had something planned, and I just knew it. You could call it intuition, although I have known the guy since we were 20 years old. However, we didn’t begin dating until all of us finished university, but we have been good friends for a long time… It was taxing not to know someone well after that long! Vincent seemed a little distracted, as if he was planning something. Early one day in the summer, he woke me up and he told me that we were going away somewhere. It was on the weekend, and I had all intentions of sleeping in. He tried to get me to get up out of bed, although I would not budge. At least I wouldn’t until I knew what was happening! All he told me was that it was a surprise. I laughed a little since I’d suspected all along he was planning something… Finally, I dragged my body from the bed. Then I took a quick shower, got dressed and I got into the truck. We finally ended up in front of the nicest beach apartment I’d ever seen. I wanted to turn on the A/C so Vincent went to the temperature control to check to see if there was a dehumidifier available on the indoor thermostat system; Lucky for us, there was. He turned it on and later, the beach house felt great. The humidity was gone, thanks to the dehumidifier feature in the A/C system.
