Every year at our house, I am the one who ends up hosting the Christmas party for the entire family. There are a couple reasons why this is. One is because I am a certainly great cook, I make sure that everyone is taken care of, and all food preferences are taken into consideration. I make sure to learn everyone’s food favorites and cook them accordingly, so everyone has their own dish when they arrive, however last, our house is also the greatest, with a large living room which is perfect for the 12 or more family members I expect to be seeing. There are a few preparations that need to be done before everyone arrives, but usually a month beforehand, I make sure to clean out everything in the living room, to make room for the Christmas tree and presents. I also go grocery shopping to buy all of the food and the food ingredients. Last, I make sure the gas furnace is working as it should be. The winter’s down here can get certainly brutal, and the last thing I would want is the gas furnace to stop working at the last minute. That happened a few years ago, where the heating unit stopped working a morning before everyone was supposed to arrive. I entirely had to call for Heating and A/C emergency service and pay a lot of money to get the central gas furnace taken care of, however it was worth it to make sure everyone stayed warm. I realized then what a large complication that could’ve been, and so now every year I have gas furnace service to prevent something love that ahead of time.
