The home services contractor I worked for as a heating corporation holds the best end-of-year get-together! That morning started as a proper workday.
Sydney, our colleague had had some poor luck repairing an old gas fireplace.
Turns out the retirement home needed more than that and she did not have some of the tools! I was installing a digital control component a few blocks from where she was when I got a call from her requesting that I drop by the locale and lend her a helping hand. Turns out the modern heating unit the two of us had installed multiple years ago needed a furnace/heater tune-up! When they had called the heating provider they had not mentioned that they would also need a heat pump service. The lady who made the call was not aware that they had a dual fuel method which means it incorporated an electric heat pump. I also had to go there with a modern furnace filter, they had not upgraded it in multiple months. It was a miracle all the dirt had not affected the furnace. It would have been easier if they said they wanted an annual service program, however as a heating corporation she was there to help with any heating and cooling unit that helped with indoor comfort. Everything from there went smoothly with no more hitches, but after this, the two of us opted to go and freshened up to attend the get-together that started later during the afternoon hours. Everyone was in high spirits and when people started dancing, that is when the get-together began. The people I was with and I formed a circle because people had moves akin to Jagger. Who knew Sydney was once a ballet dancer in the whole of grade school and she still had the moves.
