I schedule my yearly maintenance around National HVAC Technician Day

Tom has been my HVAC technician for 5 years now, and we have gotten to know each other very well over the years.

For instance, we share lots of stories about our kids and our family members.

Tom has 2 kids and a wife who is currently pregnant. When I found out that Tom’s wife was pregnant, I wanted to do something nice for them, but I couldn’t think of what to do. Then, it occurred to me that National HVAC Technician Day was approaching. Each year around June 22, I usually have a service appointment scheduled. Typically, to show my appreciation for his excellent HVAC service, I bake Tom his favorite chocolate chip cookies. This year, I plan to add something extra for the baby, so, I went online and placed an order for some baby clothes, diapers, bottles, rags, blankets, and toys, and I made a big gift basket for the baby. My service appointment was on June 21st at 11:00 am, and Tom flushed the debris from the coils, checked the refrigerant levels, and vacuumed and cleaned out the condenser unit. It took him about 2 hours to complete the maintenance. After he was done, I wished him a happy National HVAC Tech day, gave him the cookies, and handed him the oversized gift basket. Tom was so happy for the gift, and he thanked me profusely. It was the least that I could do because he has been such a great HVAC technician over the years. I wished him luck with the new baby and told him I was looking forward to seeing the pictures of the new bundle of joy.
