I honestly don’t understand why people are still using space heaters in their houses.
I understand why someone might use a window air conditioner since central air conditioners are very expensive and since some people do not own their own houses. Sure, a window air conditioner is a poor replacement for a central air conditioner, but window air conditioners are still designed to do such a thing. However, space heaters are a very expensive and inefficient heating system, and they are not intended to allow you to replace your furnace. However, every year, people still try to use space heaters for something they are not supposed to. Why would you use a space heater? I want to explain the reasons why I think that space heaters are simply the worst. First, space heaters are very dangerous. Space heaters are not designed for regular outlets since they typically draw more electricity than the outlet was designed to be able to handle. This is why there are tons of fires every year that are caused by a melted outlet that a space heater was plugged into. Furthermore, space heaters are so unsafe that you aren’t’ even supposed to use a space heater unless it is fully supervised constantly. Space heaters cannot heat your room properly without a furnace and are created to be a supplement. However, space heaters use an extraordinary amount of electricity, and they will increase your electric bill astronomically. Why do people continue using space heaters with all of this going against them? I guess that some people are simply never going to learn.
