Investing in HVAC service to save money

I have been looking into ways that I can save money in my home.

I googled energy saving tips and I have been following them closely. First I replaced all the windows in my home. They were super old and didn’t even open. I noticed that my AC was leaking out of my house because the windows weren’t airtight. I got new windows, properly insulated and caulked around them. I then ripped off my baseboards and added new insulation there as well. Next was invested in blackout curtains to stop the sunshine from wrecking my AC settings. In the winter I keep them open to let the house feel a bit warmer. I also invested in HVAC service. It feels weird buying things so save money. The new windows have lowered my energy bills so much. Having the HVAC cleaned, oiled and tightened means it runs more efficiently now. The system isn’t pushing through dust, dirt and hair. It actually completes a full cycle without making horrible noises. I am so glad that I am now on a HVAC service program as well. I just signed up for it and the HVAC workers take care of the nitty gritty. I get called twice a year for service and then just confirm the date and time. They do an air conditioner service appointment in the summer and a heating appointment in the winter. They make sure there are no big HVAC repairs looming, anything clogged up or rusted through. I am being proactive about my HVAC.
