You have to hire good people

I had a horrible rental experience.

The actual rental home was amazing. I had three bedrooms and one bathroom. The floors were wood and the place was in great shape. Getting the landlord to do anything was awful. If he did hire work done it was the worst workers. The house was painted one summer and the painters sprayed all over the windows. They didn’t cut the bushes back or paint around them. So during the winter you could see the orange patches they just left. Not a very good job at all. The tree removal service almost knocked the tree on the neighbors house. That was scary. The worst was with the AC system. The air conditioner just wasn’t providing any type of cold air. I called and complained multiple times. The HVAC contractor I got sent definitely wants NATE certified or licensed. He was just a dude with a truck and toolbox. He knew nothing. He put refrigerant in it and called it a day. It didn’t fix the job at all. I Called again and heard nothing back. So I started investigating. I then realized the outdoor unit was at an angle. It just needed to be righted with cement blocks. All that new coolant then was able to poop correctly and make the air cold again. I fixed it and the HVAC worker my landlord hired didn’t. Pretty sad right? He should have just used a real HVAC company. They would have gotten the job done quickly and efficiently. There are plenty of great local HVAC businesses.
