I thought I would fail as a HVAC technician

I never thought I would make it as a heating and A/C technician. I honestly thought I would just fail in life as it was. As a kid, I could just see it. I would be in my 30s still living in my parent’s basement, portrayed as a loser, just like they did on TV. Thankfully that nightmare never happened, but the reason I thought that way was because I was horrible at school. I was a D and F student. It was awful. I just couldn’t grasp most of the subjects past the basics. What I needed was someone to help guide me rather than being left to fend for myself. I started home school and my grades improved, but I still wasn’t a great student. When it came time to consider what future I would like. I thought about being a HVAC technician. My uncle is a HVAC specialist, and he lived a quite comfortable life, and since I knew A/C specialists were always in demand, that would secure a job for me in the future. But my confidence was so low, I honestly figured that I would fail at that too. It didn’t help that when I first went to HVAC university, I started off with failing grades. However, I quickly was able to pick up the pace and become a much better student. I passed and became a certified A/C technician and then was hired by a local A/C company. Finally, I moved out into my own apartment, and I realized that I was actually good at something, which was HVAC technology.
