My birthday is coming up this week, and the only thing that I can think of that I want for my birthday this year is a new and shiny thermostat system.
Whenever I mention this to my loving spouse, he looks at me as if I have grown multiple heads or something like that.
I suppose he has never even heard of a person asking for a smart thermostat for their birthday before. However, that is absolutely the only thing that I can say that I really want. A smart thermostat system seems preferable to the dial one we have now. I believe that smart thermostat systems end up saving you lots of money on your heating and cooling bills in the long run. They are able to learn the schedule for you and your family, and then they are able to adjust the temperature in your house accordingly. I can say that I really prefer the whole idea of that. I am a person who likes modern conveniences, and the fact that a thermostat system can tell when I am going to be home and what temperature I want it to be in our house at that time is just amazing to me. Not only that, but smart thermostat systems are able to be controlled by an app on your smartphone or iPad. I prefer the whole system of being able to adjust the temperature in our house from someplace in the world, as long as I am connected to Wi-Fi on our smartphone! To me, it seems almost futuristic and I would just love to be able to do that from our cell phone wherever we may be. I personally don’t see why it’s such a strange thing to ask for on my 50th birthday!
