The AC on the flight was a big problem

You get to a point where airline travel is not even a hassle any more.

  • You can get so numb to the constant barrage of delays, lines, waits, cancellations, searches, and emergencies that they no longer register.

If I can take one entire flight without any issues, it is a blessed day. Let me tell you, the blessed days are few and far between. Fortunately my job pays for me to travel business class, which cuts down on my number of travel problems by some small degree. At least once I am on board the plane things usually go smoothly, but not always. I hate riding in the back of the plane, it always seems like the air quality is terrible, and you can’t ever get cool. With so many people crammed together in a tight space, sitting shoulder to shoulder, no wonder the air quality is so bad. At least up in the front section of the plane there is a little more space, which means less bodies heating up the area. That said, the AC up front is usually no better than in the back, it is just less crowded so you can feel it more. On this last flight the climate control system was most definitely out of control, and we were all complaining about it. I sort of felt bad for the steward, who had no way to fix the air conditioning and just had to politely answer our complaints. On the other hand, the seat was expensive, and having working AC was a part of what we paid for.
