There are so many things to do around the holidays.
It seems that you have to save money all year just to afford the end of the year.
It feels like a time of the year where you are obligated to spend money no matter what. Fortunately for me I had saved enough money this year. This is not only for gifts, but for my HVAC system. The reason for this is because I could not get my heat started. I went to work and when I came back I tried to turn the heat back on. I used the thermostat and I tried using the remote. My phone is even connected to the thermostat and nothing was working. I was convinced that it was the thermostat that was broken. I could not get anything to change on the thermostat. Everything was remaining the same. I called my local HVAC company for assistance. Unfortunately they are really booked this time of the year. It would be a couple of days before they had gotten to me. They finally were able to make it to my house a couple of days later. It turned out that the thermostat had stopped working for some reason. They were not able to say exactly why. The system was not that old. They replaced the thermostat that day and I was good to go. I could feel the heat coming back through the vents once again. I had almost forgotten what that was like. There is no better feeling than heat running through your house on a really chilly day.
