I had just arrived at work the other day when I saw all of these HVAC technicians hanging around.
I imagined that something had happened to the ductwork and it was leaking poisonous gas into the air. I saw them ripping out all of the air vents and there were tools everywhere. I was then thinking that maybe there was a bomb hidden in the ductwork and this team was a bunch of bomb professionals who were there to safely detonate the bomb. I have a wild imagination as you can see. I try to think of ways to make every situation more fun. I really did want to know why there was a huge group of HVAC technicians in and around my office building. I went into the office and I talked to a bunch of my coworkers and I asked them if they knew what was going on. One of the guys told me that it was a bomb search. I had to laugh because he and I thought a lot alike. Then he told me it was just a group in to clean the HVAC ductwork. I was happy for this because the air quality in this building had really begun to stink. I wanted to be able to go outside and watch them all day, but I didn’t think I could get away with it. I was the manager, so I was wondering if any of them would even miss me if I wasn’t in the building. I went out and watched the workers as often as I could, but I couldn’t be there the entire time. I asked one of the guys to take video so I could take it home and show my boys what was happening.
