After Grandpa passed away, Grandma didn’t want to live in the city anymore, which she said was too loud and crowded.
The streets made it difficult for her to walk.
She desired to find somewhere lovely and calm to live with her three cats. But my mom was not sure about this, but my grandma is a headstrong woman! Grandma was going to make a move either way. So, as a way to keep her close, mom began looking for properties close by. She found a place that was selling portions of their land… On one portion, there was a section with numerous lake houses that interested buyers could look at, and grandma, mom, and I drove out to the area, and it was wonderful! There were trees everywhere and it was just an hour from the city. Plus my grandma had numerous neighbours all around the lake. The houses were all ready for occupation, however, potential buyers had to install a cooling and gas furnace before moving into the houses. Mom and Grandma began talking about the best gas furnace since they really wanted to get the house. After the purchase was complete, mom hired an AC expert to assess the house and get the best heating device since the section had long Winter seasons and short summertimes. The A/C expert mentioned a heat pump. The heat pump was high-priced, but in the long run it had fewer costs. Of course, this was in terms of energy consumption and service. Grandma ended up getting a heating pump for her new lake house, and we stayed for a couple of weeks when she moved in.
