Don’t Forget the HVAC Man at the Holidays

I carry on a really strange family tradition. Well, not that strange but certainly no longer traditional. My Mom and Dad always did something nice for the people they depended on and were actually dependable. This meant the mailman and the guy that toted the groceries got a little extra something during the holiday season. My folks certainly weren’t rich by any standard but they made sure to have extra for those folks when it got to be present buying time. What a wonderful thing to do. I carry on with that silly tradition to honor my parents sense of community. I’m adding the HVAC tech to the list. I have had the same heating and air technician since we moved into this house. This guy is always on time, organized and sports a great disposition. And this is during a service call when it’s 106 degrees and my household is without a/c. The man is awesome. He’s here at least twice a year for seasonal maintenance and has never missed an appointment. The man is a dedicated HVAC professional because I hear the same thing from my neighbors. We are all so lucky to be in his zone of service I guess. Well, he’s dang sure going to get a card with a twenty in when he comes to do the pre-winter maintenance on the furnace. We have never had to wait more than an hour or two for our HVAC tech to get to us. And he always shows up with that smile and ready to knock the job out.
