I’ve heard that the average kid is on their mobile devices or electronics about 12 hours a day.
- How can this be possible? If they sleep eight hours a day and are at school another seven hours, then how can they be spending so much time on electronics? Maybe they are online at school for several hours too either on their phones or on the school’s computers.
Wow, what have we done with our lives with all of these electronics? I try to just use my time for work when online and give myself one more hour of surfing aimlessly. The HVAC repairman told me that he doesn’t allow his kids to have phones until they move out of the house. He said they have a hard time hanging out with friends because they are all on their phones most of the day and night. I used my computer the other day to find a good HVAC maintenance plan and it only took me about 15 minutes, then I was off to the beach to have some fun. I couldn’t imagine staring at my phone each day for 12 hours, it sounds like a prison sentence. I may go online later and look for some zone control for my house because I am wasting a lot of money cooling and heating the whole house when I mainly just use one of the rooms all day. At night I keep my room cold with the window open, which saves me a ton of money in heating costs. I love sleeping in a cold room.
