I’m not so sure about just how we got to finally acknowledging that we had an indoor air problem.
But I do know that there was plenty of time where my wife and I were doing just all we could to simply cover the smell in our house.
It was just that bad. However, each time the HVAC equipment kicked on, the indoor odor came right back. And we played this game over and over again. I have no idea what we spent on deodorizers, plug ins, sprays and even candles. It was almost like picking up a gallon of milk on the way home. Can’t forget to get the spray. We kept this up because we really just didn’t know any better. Our house is really nice and we have new heating and cooling equipment that does a beautiful job. The quality heating and air of our home rivals any that I’ve ever been in. In fact, the only thing that might be close is the commercial HVAC in the office at work. But once we had to leave that great zone controlled HVAC during the pandemic, we quickly became fed up with the indoor air quality at home. Finally, we turned to the HVAC professionals which is what we should have done in the first place. They suggested that we install a whole home air purification system. This air purifier would actually work with the HVAC unit to destroy all the airborne contaminants and the bacteria causing the odors. It took less than 24 hours for our indoor air quality to go from terrible to as good as it gets.
