When the pandemic hit, my home was put on notice right away.
- This was due to the fact that my wife was particularly at risk given a genetic predisposition.
And that was a scary thing. As soon as we were sent home from the zone controlled HVAC of the office, I knew that things were quite serious. But there was nothing else to do but all we could do to protect our wife and mom. The kids really came through and were exceptionally patient and understanding when it came to their mom’s situation. We all made sacrifices for more than a year until we could get my wife the vaccinations that would keep her from being at high risk with Covid. But those sacrifices and changes were also a positive. It brought us even closer although we were such a tight knit group. Each day, we’d get out of the central air conditioning of the house for walks or even games. We all rediscovered kick ball and that was such a blast. I’m just so proud of how my family pulled through. We also made some changes in order to protect and strengthen our immune systems as well. That started with having a whole home air purification system installed. This thing uses UV light to destroy all the airborne contaminants in our home. The bonus of the whole home air purification system is that our house now smells better than I could have ever imagined. All in all, I think the experience of being cooped up in the central air conditioning was actually a positive. My wife is fine and we’re all the closer for the experience.
