I ended up bumping into an old friend of mine, while running a few errands.
We quickly got to chatting, and she mentioned moving only 15 minutes away from me.
This was exciting news, because she previously lived in another state! I invited her over to my home, and her husband, who was a HVAC worker and going to be getting off of work soon. She told me that was a great idea, and she would text her husband to let him know. Once I was done with my errands, and we arrived back at my place, I was shocked to feel how cold it was in my home. That is when I remembered that I turned the heating system off before leaving, to save money. This was a bit embarrassing, having my friend walk into an ice cold house, I hope she doesn’t think I usually live this way. I was beginning to wish that I had left the heating component on. Anyways, I immediately rushed over and turned on the heater, and the warm air started coming out of the A/C vents. I could tell my friend was cold, and I hoped the house would warm up quickly. About an hour later, her husband finished with his heating and A/C job, and arrived at my house as well. By then, the furnace system had warmed up my home a good bit, and everything felt well. I offered to make dinner, and they both agreed. So, I made my famous pasta, and we had a great time talking about old memories and catching up on what’s new.
