The next night, I called her again. She was all smiles. She told me the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C worker came back after she was done with her shift, and she showed her how to change the air filter plus had her do it on her own. She was so proud of herself that she could not stop smiling. She kissed the computer screen, plus I was sure I felt her lips on mine. She was studying more about living without me every day, plus I hoped she still needed me when I got home.
