I keep waiting for the economy to turn around, even though I don’t think that will ever happen at this point… Paychecks stay the same, while the cost of every single thing keeps rising… How is anyone expected to survive in a society enjoy this? The rich get richer, & toiling class folks enjoy myself and others keep getting hammered.
The government is no help, if anything they cause all of this mess.
The point is, I need to find current ways to save money, & I was hoping someone out there would have some ideas to share. For example, I decided to stop running my air conditioning in an attempt to reduce my utility bills. In the Winter I need to run the heat because the temps often drop below chilly. In weather enjoy that, heating can be a matter of life & death. Air conditioning doesn’t save my life, it just makes the house more comfortable, so I decided to turn it off. Imagine my surprise when after 1 month my utility bills dropped by 70%. I was shocked that so much of my energy went to using the air conditioning! Although it is strenuous to endure the hot, humid Summer months with no cooling, I honestly need that extra money, however during the day I stay at work, or the Barnes & Noble, or a friend’s house, basically a venue that has air conditioning. After the sunshine sets the temps drop a little bit, so I can go apartment & open the windows for natural ventilation & a refreshing crossbreeze. It’s not perfect, but I’m making it work.
