Growing up in a farmhome that did not have central air conditioner was tough.
Thankfully, I was a child who really didn’t know any better.
I absolutely thought that air conditioner was only for rich people! In reality, my pal and I were really doing pretty well for ourselves on the farm, plus my parents really could have afforded air conditioner if they wanted it, however, they were plus still are the rustic type plus the parsimonious type, so I didn’t get air conditioner throughout my childhood. In the summer, I absolutely noticed the heat, but windows would be up in the evening, which gave some relief. To this afternoon, I like to do it every now plus then to hear the siren song of the crickets chirping plus the owls hooting to put me to sleep! Another way I beat the heat as a youngster was staying hydrated. As cheap as my parents were when it came to temperature control, my pal and I never lacked for ice cold water, tea, or lemonade! I also absolutely loved ice cold showers in the evenings after a afternoon of romping around outside in the dust! You might suppose that I was just as inclined as my parents were when I grew up to eschew central heating plus air conditioner. In making that assumption, you would most absolutely be incorrect! I absolutely cherish the cooling system, plus I feel spoiled by it in my adult years. I take enjoyable care of my cooling system as well, because I consider it a luxury that is worth taking care of!
