I will be the first one to say that I don’t know anything about heating or air conditioning.
I have never even been interested in HVAC.
The first home I ever lived in had central heating and air conditioning. I never even needed to call a HVAC company to come and clean the system. I called my landlord and he even arranged to have the air filter changed once a month. When I bought my home, I wasn’t so lucky. I bought a home that had a rundown heating and air conditioning system. I have had so many problems over this past year, that it is driving me crazy. My allergies were really bad and they told me it was because my ductwork was full of mold. The mold was so bad that it was affecting my heating and air conditioning. It seems that it is blocking off the airflow which is causing problems with the components in the heating and air conditioning. If it is as bad as they say it is, I will need to have a new heating and air conditioning system installed. It is winter right now, and all I have is a small space heater to keep my home warm. The space heater really doesn’t work so well. I tried to get the HvAC company to come out and work on the heating system, but they won’t be available for a couple of weeks. I can wait that long, but what if they can’t repair the heater. If they can’t repair the furnace, I will have to wait even longer to get my new furnace and to have it installed.
