My mom is such a procrastinator… I told her that she needed to have everything ready and perfect for the cookout that she was planning outside.Normally, when you have a cookout, you have a lot of fun outside, then but this day was supposed to bring rain showers, so our mom was supposed to make sure that everything could be moved indoors! Two week ago, when she told me that her air conditioning system wasn’t working, I was nervous.
She had a central air conditioning system, which meant that she didn’t need to go to the store and purchase a new air conditioning system. She was going to have to call an HVAC contractor and get her air conditioning system put on the schedule before the cookout was supposed to happen. I begged her to call the HVAC contractor, but this HVAC supplier could be busy, so she had to make sure that she had enough time for her air conditioning system to be fixed before the cookout started. She told me not to worry about it, and I tried not to. However, each day when I asked if she had called the HVAC contractor, she told me that she would get around to it. Well, two days before the cookout, she called the HVAC corporation, and they told her that they couldn’t fix her air conditioning system until next week. If she had called them earlier, they might have been able to fix her air conditioning system, but there was no way that they were going to be able to fix it on short notice. Now, we are all stuck in the apartment with the warm stovetop and no air conditioning system. And we are also the only ones here… Everyone else left when they realized there was no air conditioning system.
