Need ductless HVAC for lanai

My lanai was clearly attached to the house later on. It is not connected to the HVAC equipment, a slight step down and everything is a different color. There are windows with screens though and a glass door. The lanai is pretty well insulated. My husband is constantly trying to put stuff on the lanai. He really would like to store his garbage and tools in there. I have been tossing them out of the room since it is my work out space. I have free weights, a jump rope and a folding mat in there right now. It is really the perfect spot to workout. The only con is the lack of heating and cooling. Not having the right temperature while working out stinks. In the summer it is hard to do a full hour overheated. I spend most of the time just standing around sweaty and tired. I can’t get moving and I am reluctant to do any cardio. In the winter I frequently hurt myself because of cold muscles. I need both heating and cooling unfortunately. My windows are a weird size and wouldn’t look good with window cooling. I also don’t want a bunch of space heaters taking up floor space. So it looks like my only option might be getting a ductless HVAC unit installed in the lanai. It will cost me around 5 grand but I think I will have it forever. It will only make the space more valuable. I use it everyday. I can justify this expense right?
