I had to get rid of the old rusted space heater

When I bought my current house, it had a lot of things in it that I didn’t quite expect! Ahead of time, I knew the house was old and had a lot of history, but there were owners before me that did a thorough cleaning of the house, so I figured anything that may have been hidden in it before was long gone by now.

However, I was very wrong, as this house still had quite a few hidden treasures.

One of the things I found was a secret compartment with an old box inside. Inside the box were really old photos of I assume previous owners. The photos were black and white and outdated. Then I found a second compartment that had an old newspaper clipping dating back to 1942. Close to the newspaper clipping was an old slightly threatening sounding letter to someone else. Interesting stuff indeed. Anyways, the house also came with a space heater, but it was beyond working. It was all old and rusted, and I don’t even know if they use the same kind of technology to get it running as they do nowadays. I don’t know because I’ve never owned a space furnace before. I had the old area heater lifted out of the house and taken down the dump, which was a little saddening knowing about how old it probably was, but everything has an expiration date. Anyways, after the old furnace system was removed, I had a new HVAC system installed to heat and cool the house properly.
