A/C repair job gets more complicated

When I was in high school, I decided to pursue a career in refrigeration and AC repair.

We had a technical school close to the region and I applied to the program that focused on AC repair and refrigeration. I spend half of the day in the classroom, learning things like math, science, and english. I spent the other half of the day in a technical environment. We were inside of a room with lots of different equipment and machines. It was a great way to learn and seeing some of the items made it easier to learn how each repair should be completed. I learned a lot about refrigeration and AC repair during this time, but technology is constantly changing. I have to renew my certification here. My company pays for the certification test, and they also send my co-workers and I to a 2-week training class to learn about all of the new information. The last time my co-workers and I were forced to go to a training class, it was in the middle of the corner state. We spent 6 hours a day in classes, and the rest of the night was ours. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a single thing to do in that whole city. Our night of fun was a round of miniature golf or a night of dancing at the country music club. I really hope that the next time my co-workers and I are sent to an AC repair class, that it is somewhere with a much nicer selection of things to do. I would love to play a round of real golf.
