I’ve always been big into donating to various charities.
I especially can’t help myself when I see those awful commercials about children suffering.
I always feel it’s a duty of mine to be able to provide finances for those poor children to get food, water, and a proper education. Not so long ago, I actually decided to get more involved with the community outreach program. We basically go around and ask people to please help support the people in the community who can’t afford basic things like food, utilities, and even HVAC services. We feel it’s important for everybody to have their basic needs covered so we can live as a healthy and strong community. Who would we be if we didn’t look out for our fellow people in this country, or even the world? Of course, our main focus is helping people in our immediate community. You will find programs like this across the country though and different places around the world. We should all do what we can, you know? I was especially happy recently when we were able to get enough donations to repair the HVAC system at one of our local homeless shelters. The people there were afraid they would head into the winter months without any heating system. The heating system was broken down and it was expensive to have fixed. Fortunately people donated money, blankets, jackets, and even portable heating systems. We happily accepted all the donations and were able to provide heating for these poor people. It’s amazing what you can accomplish with the help of people in the community.
