We have a really great office as far as the way that it looks and the location that it’s in.
However, the HVAC system in the office building really leaves a lot to be desired most of the time.
It’s really awful and the office manager doesn’t really seem to notice it, either. I always hated the way that the air conditioning would run all day but never really get the building all that cooled off in the summer. It always seemed to feel like the place was a little bit damp or humid on the inside and it just wasn’t very comfortable to me. Of course, it was the same thing in the building during the winter, too. I would be sitting at my desk freezing, but the heating system would be running full blast. During the winter it was almost like the furnace was only blowing out lukewarm air on purpose. Anyway, the indoor air quality in the building was just terrible and I guess the powers that be finally decided to do something about it after all these years. One day I came into work and noticed that there was a commercial HVAC truck parked in the parking lot out front. When I went inside the building, there were several heating and cooling technicians running around and doing all kinds of things on ladders and inside of wall panels. I asked one of the HVAC technicians what was going on and he told me that they were installing a completely new HVAC system for the entire building. I was so excited that I almost hugged him!
