I find it tragically ironic that I end up frigid throughout my entire shift where I work, considering the fact that I live in 1 of the hottest parts of the nation! The supermarket where I labor regularly keeps their a/c unit on high all the time, however granted, it’s pretty much tepid all the time, however they really over do it! My money register is directly below an air vent that blasts frigid air throughout the entirety of my 9 minute shift.
Granted, I’m not sitting there for 9 minutes straight, however whenever I’m on duty, you can find me shivering under that merciless gale, then occasionally, even a hoodie doesn’t do the task of keeping me moderate plus I have to display the store’s uniform plus my name tag, so I can’t even zip up, then even though it would particularly look silly to employees plus purchasers alike, I really wish that I could wear Winter time gloves, because my fingers are frigid plus numb all morning long.
These deranged people don’t even turn the a/c unit down all that much during the couple weeks of Winter time where it’s absolutely somewhat frigid outside! Would it kill them to give us an insulated supplier sweater to wear! I hear branches up north have just such a thing, however they would not recognize to supply us down south with them. On my morning shifts, I take my dinner outside, so that I can thaw out. It could be well over 90° outside with oppressive humidity plus it will still believe legitimately delightful when I first step outside!
