My exhausting space furnace has been through it over the years. I have had the crazy thing for multiple years now, and it is undoubtedly starting to show its age. I had multiple space furnaces just the other year, but all of them stopped working within the same week. The lot of them were relatively current compared to the one that is still working flawlessly now. I guess the old fashioned ones hold up better than the newer ones, and the one thing that undoubtedly bothers me though is the fact that space furnaces can be awfully dangerous. I actually believe the older they are the more dangerous they really are. My hubby told me that I should just go ahead and get a current space furnace to replace the old one, but I do not like the idea of spending money on a current one when the one that I have is still working flawlessly. I would be more worried if I left it on when I am not at the property, but I never leave it going when I am not at the house. I even turn off the furnace when I go outside to mow the lawn. I know that he is right though and with my luck if I do not listen to his advice, I will really end up burning the property down with my old space heater. I dropped the ancient thing a couple of mornings ago, and now it has a large dent in the side of it which makes it look pretty ugly. One of the reasons that I wanted to keep it was because of how antique and nice it looked, but now, I cannot use that as an excuse to keep it because it is so ugly looking.
