My husband and I just bought a new home.
Well, the house is definitely not new, but it is new to us. I actually really like older houses because they seem to have way more character than new homes do. To me, many of the new homes look so much alike, and I do not like that. I want my home to be unique. The house we just bought is definitely unique. I have never seen a floor plan like the one our house has. It is open, yet it has a lot of individual rooms. It is the perfect layout in my opinion. I love just about everything about our new home except the fact that we were lied to about the condition of our furnace. We were told that the furnace was old but that it worked great. It definitely looks really old and rough, but I did not want to judge a book by its cover, so I just believed what the previous owners told us about the condition of the furnace. We had an HVAC company come over and service our furnace before winter hits, and they actually told us that our furnace was in very poor condition. They even advised us to get a new one before winter because they were afraid that it might not last through the winter. My husband is quite concerned about it because if the furnace stops working, it creates a whole other world of issues. We are going to look at some new furnaces tomorrow to see if we can get a good deal on one.
