Getting a place of my own took just the longest time.
Honestly, there for a while, I thought I wasn’t going to be able to afford to ever own a house.
The cost of housing just kept going up and up but my paycheck was staying relatively unchanged. So I really had to work at saving money in order to get out of apartment life. I just hated the heating and cooling in apartments. It seemed like that sort of residential HVAC was always just a shade not up to the task. At least that’s been my experience. Where I live, the heat and humidity is the big climate challenge. The two apartments I’ve lived in after college both had HVAC equipment that couldn’t quite handle the load in the summer. If you weren’t careful to keep the thermostat in the low 80’s during the heat of the day, the HVAC would get overwhelmed and not work. That made for a lot of hot summer days while I was working from home during the pandemic. So when I finally had enough to buy my first house, I wanted to be sure that I had some great quality heating and air. That’s exactly what I received with the ductless multi split system that I have in my home. There are four ductless heat pumps placed throughout my house. They can work in tandem or I can use them like I would a zone controlled HVAC system. Not only does it provide the highest quality heating and air, the ability to customize the thermostat setting throughout the house is awesome.
